Elburg is a municipality and a city in the province of Gelderland, Netherlands. The city is located on the southwestern shore of the Veluwemeer, a large lake on the Veluwe. Elburg is situated approximately 45 kilometers east of Amsterdam and 95 kilometers northwest of Utrecht. The city of Elburg has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages.
