Providencia is a commune located within Santiago City in the Santiago Metropolitan Region of Chile. Situated in the Northeastern zone of the capital, it serves as a third-level administrative division governed by a municipal council headed by an alcalde. The commune is bordered by several neighboring communes, including Santiago to the west, Recoleta to the northwest, Las Condes and Vitacura to the northeast, La Reina to the east, and Ñuñoa to the south.
