Support EARF

Live cameras, radio and real-time data from around the world, on one free map.

Watching on EARF costs nothing, and supporting it is optional. If EARF is part of your day, a $5 AUD monthly membership or a one-off donation helps keep it online.

Where your support goes.

EARF has no paywall. Every camera, the map and the radio are free to use, member or not. Running them is not free, and support from the people who use EARF helps pay for it. This is where that money goes.

Streaming and hosting

The site, the map and every camera page run around the clock, every day, whether anyone gives or not. Hosting and bandwidth are the cost that never stops.

  • Every camera page, the map and the radio
  • Live data arriving day and night
  • Bandwidth for every viewer, at any hour

Adding and looking after cameras

Finding working streams in cities, on coastlines and in remote places, checking each one, pinning it where it films, and replacing it when it goes dark.

  • New cameras checked by a person
  • Broken streams found and replaced
  • Locations and details kept accurate

Ongoing development

Weather, earthquake and wildfire alerts, the radio and EARFguess are all built and kept running on EARF, alongside the features still to come.

  • Fixes and improvements to what is here
  • Data feeds kept current as sources change
  • New features as they are ready

Two ways to help.

Both go to the same costs. A membership is steady support we can plan around; a donation helps just as much whenever it arrives.

Questions.

Anything we have not covered? Questions go through a support ticket, which needs a free EARF account. Sign in or create one first.

How is the membership billed?

Monthly, at $5 AUD, starting on the day you join. It renews automatically on the same day each month until you cancel. While you are signed in, your start date and next charge date are shown on this page.

What currency will I be charged in?

Australian dollars, wherever you are. Any amount shown in your own currency is an estimate from current exchange rates, and your bank may apply its own rate and fees.

How do I cancel?

Sign in, come back to this page and choose Cancel membership under Your membership. Nothing more is charged, there is no fee or minimum term, and your perks stay until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Not for a change of mind: a donation is a gift, and membership payments are not refunded for a change of mind or a forgotten cancellation. If you donated by mistake, for example the wrong amount, tell us through a support ticket within 14 days and we will review it. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected, and the Terms of Service set out the details.Ask about a refundTerms of Service

Do I need an account?

Not to donate: anyone can make a one-off donation. A membership needs a free EARF account, so your badge and perks have somewhere to go.

What happens if a payment fails?

The payment is retried automatically. If it still cannot be collected after the retries, the membership is cancelled. Checking the card with your bank or card provider usually sorts it out.

Is my card safe?

Card details are typed into a secure form run by our payment processor and go straight to them. EARF never receives or stores your full card number.

Does supporting unlock any cameras?

No. Every camera, the map and the radio are free for everyone, member or not. A membership never locks anything away from anyone.

Who do I ask about a payment?

Open a support ticket from the Help Centre and tell us which charge it is about. Never send a full card number. Tickets need a free EARF account, so sign in or create one first.Open a ticket
