Rieti is a town and comune located in the Lazio region of central Italy. It serves as the administrative seat of the province of Rieti and the see of the diocese of Rieti, while also functioning as the modern capital of the Sabina region. The town centre sits on a small hilltop that commands views over the wide Rieti valley, situated at the bottom of the Sabine hills and the Monti Reatini, which include Mount Terminillo.
