Fujiyoshida is a city situated in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, positioned at the northern base of Mount Fuji. Built upon old lava flows, it is considered a high-elevation urban area, ranging from 650 to 850 metres above sea level. The municipality lies between two of the Fuji Five Lakes, with the Katsura River flowing through its eastern section.
