Dawlish is a seaside resort town and civil parish situated in the Teignbridge district of Devon, England. Located on the south coast of the United Kingdom, it lies approximately 12 miles from Exeter and a similar distance from Torquay. The settlement occupies the outlet of Dawlish Water, a small river also known as The Brook, nestled between Permian red sandstone cliffs.
