Lyme Regis is a historic coastal town situated in west Dorset, England, within the United Kingdom. It lies on the English Channel coast at the Dorset–Devon border, positioned 25 miles west of Dorchester and east of Exeter. The settlement developed around the mouth of the River Lim, which flows from a plateau to the sea.
