Nokomis is an unincorporated town and census-designated place situated in Sarasota County, Florida, along the Gulf Coast of the United States. Located south of Osprey and just north of Venice, it forms part of the Sarasota metropolitan area. The community provides residents with direct access to the coastline through Nokomis Public Beach and the nearby barrier island of Casey Key.
