“Tuvalu for the Almighty”
Tuvalu is a small Polynesian island nation located in the central Pacific Ocean, situated within the Polynesian subregion of Oceania. Comprising nine coral atolls and reef islands, it is geographically positioned roughly midway between Hawaii and Australia. The nation's small landmass, with a total area of 26 km², has historically made it vulnerable to rising sea levels and climate change. The population of approximately 11,800 people resides primarily on the main atoll, Funafuti, which serves as the capital and main administrative center. Tuvalu's culture is deeply rooted in Polynesian traditions, and its economy relies heavily on international aid, remittances, and resource management.
