Understanding Monetization
We're completely transparent about how money works on EARF
Your Stream's Ad Revenue
100% Goes to You
Any ads that run within your stream content belong entirely to you, including:
- YouTube ads and revenue share
- Google AdSense earnings
- Your platform's monetization (Twitch, etc.)
- Any pre-roll or in-stream advertising on your content
We take zero percent. Your stream is embedded using official APIs, and all monetization stays with you.
All revenue flows through the platform that hosts your stream (for example, YouTube or Twitch). EARF does not process, receive, or redirect your monetization. Your earnings remain managed by your hosting platform.
EARF Platform Revenue (Future)
Planned Monetization
Currently: EARF relies on donations and community support.
Future Plans: EARF may explore platform ads on our site itself (around videos, in sidebars, etc.) to help sustain operational costs. If implemented, this would cover:
- Server and infrastructure costs
- Data hosting and CDN expenses
- Development and maintenance
- Customer support and moderation
Any future revenue from platform advertising would go directly to sustaining the service for creators and users.
Community Support
How We're Funded Now
EARF is built by a community-focused team. We're sustained by:
- Patreon support from our community
- Voluntary donations
- Partnership submission fees
Your support keeps EARF running and allows us to continue building, maintaining servers, and providing community support for you and all our users.
We're also open to investment and professional partnerships to help fund and responsibly scale EARF as it grows.
The Bottom Line:
We never take a cut of your stream's ad revenue. Any ads that appear on your content are yours. We may run our own ads on the EARF platform to sustain operations. This model keeps us fair, transparent, and aligned with your success.

Do I need to move my stream to EARF?
No. Your stream stays on your current platform. EARF embeds your stream using official APIs, so you maintain complete control.
Will I lose monetization?
Not at all. We follow YouTube and platform-standard embedding methods. Your monetization and view counts remain entirely yours.
How long does moderation take?
Most submissions are reviewed within 24 hours. If submitted during a weekend, it may take up to 72 hours. You'll receive an email notification with the decision and any feedback.
What happens if my stream is rejected?
We'll provide detailed feedback so you can improve your submission. We may also edit your submission to better fit our site and branding guidelines. Rejection is unlikely but can happen if we can't verify the location or stream details. You can resubmit after making adjustments or addressing any issues.
Can I remove my stream later?
During BETA, we don't allow user removal of streams. However, you can turn off embeds through your streaming platform's account dashboard (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) or contact Support@earf.tv to discuss removal options. No penalties or lock-in contracts.
What streams does EARF accept?
We accept location-based streams from all platforms including camera feeds, travel, wildlife, weather, traffic, and city views. We also accept news feeds from free speech media and mainstream media outlets, as well as all types of IRL (in real life) live content.
Is partnership really free right now?
Yes! During BETA, partnership submissions are completely free. Existing partners will be grandfathered when we introduce one-time partnership fees after launch. Early supporters get the best deal.
