Merritt Island is a census-designated place located in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is situated on the Space Coast, approximately 15 miles east of Titusville and 65 miles east of Orlando. The island is bordered by the Indian River Lagoon to the west, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Banana River to the south.
