Narsaq is a town located in the Kujalleq municipality in southern Greenland. It has a population of around 1,500 residents, making it one of the larger towns in the region. The town is situated on the northern shore of the fjord of the same name, approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) east of the Cape Farewell, the southernmost point of Greenland. The town of Narsaq was founded in 1950 as a relocation site for Inuit from the surrounding areas.
